Happy "Friend's Day"

I saw something a few weeks ago that got me thinking.  Someone was talking about what they want in a husband.   They were saying they were of the belief of waiting for God to bring the right man into their life.  While I was hearing this person talk, it seemed to me that they were paying more attention to waiting on the MAN, God would bring into their life instead of WAITING, for the man God would bring into their life.  Putting more emphasis into the man, then the waiting. (No offense intended these are just my thoughts.) Waiting can be very hard, I know that first hand.  But we all need to become better at it.  There is a lot of waiting in life!
I get asked all the questions young women get asked.  All about what do you want in a man and all that kind of thing.  To be honest, I hate it when people ask that.  I don't know and it might change as I live more life.  So I am just WAITING!!!!!  Sure I dream sometimes and I put romance in my stories in fact, that is what my stories are about.  But as for ME and a man that time in my life is SO FAR down the road I think almost NOTHING about it.

So with Valentines day here again instead of thinking of what I am going to do when I do have a man in my life and what that man will be like, I am thinking about my family and friends.  We don't have to show love to ONLY our special someone.  It's all about LOVE right?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.    John 3:16

......but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself:.......  Leviticus 19:18

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity.
     1 Corinthians 13:13

In the Bible the word love is sometimes replaced with the word charity.  The dictionary says charity means, love of humankind, typically in Christian context.

I found something interesting the other day.  In Finland the 14th of February is
Ystävänpäivä which translates in to "Friend's Day".  A day about remembering all your friends and not just your loved ones.  That is what February 14 is for me.

So Happy "Friend's Day" everyone!!!!

    About Me

Welcome to A Basket Of Pansies.  I am Sarah or sometimes known as Billie Jo, a Christian girl in her early 20s and lover of dogs.  I enjoy reading, writing, sewing, drawing, crocheting, horseback riding as well as riding motorcycles, taking walks, designing clothes, hairdressing, and lately planning weddings though for now it has just been for my stories but someday maybe I will plan a real one for someone.  Here I like to share my thoughts and whatnot with you all.  I hope you enjoy reading this and will pay another visit here someday.  God Bless.
