July 4th

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!
When thinking what I wanted to wear for yesterday of course I was thinking red, white and blue for colors.  So I started thinking about the skirts I had in my closet, I had a white skirt I had not worn in a while so thought I would go with that.  That decided, I moved onto shirts.  I had the white so I needed a red or blue shirt.  I have a blue t-shirt!  And then I remembered a set I had created on Polyvore for my story Leanna.  I had the white skirt and the blue shirt all I needed was a red belt.  Not that hard I had some red fabric so off to the sewing machine I went.  I don't have any cool red feather ear rings or awesome red shoes, but.....I think when it all comes down to it I came pretty close to this outfit.  What do you think?
When I was going to bed Thursday night I planned what I wanted to do with my hair.  Since I was dressing like Leanna I wanted to do a hair style that would be her as well.  As I was doing my hair and getting dressed Friday morning I was thinking about the scene this outfit was created for in the book, and I almost felt like I was Leanna.  It was kind of funny comparing myself to her through out the day.  I like my belt better than the one in the Polyvore outfit. =)
I did not get a picture of my hair but I will do it again some day and add a picture to this post.

Really cute outfit! So, you can sew? I love the crocheted dresses. How long does it take to make one? And how do I follow your blog? ~ Keturah

Yes I can sew and most the time I enjoy it. I can make one of the dresses in anywhere from two weeks to a month depending on what other things I have going and such. You can't follow the blog weebly does not have that option, sorry!

Oh, ok. Usually it takes me awhile to get a dress done, but if I have work off, I can get a dress+ more done in a day :) very rare
