Well I have been meaning to write about our New Years Eve party but.....time has been going by so fast. So we were not up any earlier than normal. The night before one of my younger sister and I made the bread sticks so that was done. Most of what we did Monday morning was cleaning. Living in the house we do with so many people means it is not worth it to do much of the cleaning till last minute as it will just get dirty again before whatever it is your cleaning for. After lunch we were busy showering and cooking the rest of the food. Then there were outside animal chores to be done. Coming back in we had a few minutes to sit down while a few showered then back into getting the food into serving dishes and set on the counter and getting not only ourselves changed but making sure the younger children were dressed and the little girls hair was done. My job was to do the hair good thing I don't mind it that much. There are 8 of us girls and I think I did all but 2. My own was hard because I could not get it to go up the way I wanted it so wound up doing it another way. I was the last to get dressed and while I was doing that, one sister was rolling the cheese balls in the nuts, another was frying the cheese sticks and the other 2 were outside trying to make 2013 with candles in the snow. They did not have very satisfying results. Here is a picture of it at its best. The candles kept going out. It was so cold and the wind was blowing some. Later in the night when some of us went out to see guests off it was warmer and the wind had stopped but they did not bother anymore with the candles. This year we did not have as many as we have had previous years but we had a great time anyway. 5 people besides us stayed till midnight this year. Last year we did fireworks at the turn of the year. Started them all off with a roman candle talking about it at this last party we thought maybe that was why the year went by so fast for all of us. But this year we just yelled (not to loud as baby brother was sleeping) and laughed and talked. Over all we had a good night. All the little ones except the baby stayed up till midnight. After all the guest left we put the food away then headed down to bed. We did not go to bed right away had to talk with sisters for a bit then we went to bed. We were so tired! The next day one of my sisters and I had bad headaches but I guess that is what we got for staying up so late. So we had a good time and besides the headaches we had a good day. Well this is all for this post I hope to post again soon!!!
