After stitching everything in place and re doing the neck binding I put the bodice back on the skirt and tada the dress was done! It was really easy and I did it all in one day. A few hours to be exact.
This is one of the dresses I remade for my sister Walter. These above picture are of the dress before I ripped it apart. I had the elastic taken off the waist line then wound up removing the bodice as well. I fussed with it this way and that way, spent hours on Pinterest trying to get an idea of what I really wanted to do. I don't remember what I saw now but I saw a dress and got an idea. I had pressed everything already so was ready to go to work. The bodice buttoned in the back and the sleeves are kimono style so there were seams at the shoulder running from the neck to the hem of the sleeve. I don't have a picture of that. I took out the side seams then folded the front in half and cut it about even with the shoulder part a the neck. I also took an inch of the bottom of both the back and the front. Because I took the inch off after cutting out the middle front piece and I was making the neckline a little lower I was able to gather the middle piece a little, I also added a narrow black lace in the seam. I had to add a small gusset in the side seams at the bottom so that it wasn't to tight. Which you can't really see in this picture. After stitching everything in place and re doing the neck binding I put the bodice back on the skirt and tada the dress was done! It was really easy and I did it all in one day. A few hours to be exact. For the outfit I told her to wear this belt and the earring she wore you can't see but they were a blue that matched the flowers on the dress. And I threw her hair up. I don't even know if I can redo this hair style =).

No this is not the one I made for her birthday. I will do that dress later sometime when I have the time for it I guess. We have to get more pictures of it as well before I can do the post.
